THULA SIZWE, an exciting 11-man South African choir, and the Federated Church 
present the popular South African choir,   "The Group Zulu" (one of the three 
choirs in Thula Sizwe) on

In 1988, this uniquely talented group started while the men were working in a 
vanadium mine.   Because these miners were often away from their families for 
long periods of time the tradition of competitions between different singing 
groups became popular during the repressive apartheid era.

Please plan to come and enjoy a performance which helped welcome Nelson 
Mandela home, contributed to Paul Simon's "Graceland" concert and whose concert 
tours have taken them around the world. Their musical style of singing, drumming, 
and dancing is based in ancient Zulu cultural traditions and will transport 
you to a land of amazing rhythm, beautiful harmonies and sacred energies.   To
