KANTOR POSITION, St. Peter’s Lutheran (LCMS), Shaker Heights. Part time position (about 12 hours/week). Plans, prepares, and leads music for worship from organ. Selections are in consultation with pastor. Provides information as needed for service bulletins, newsletters, etc. No ongoing choir, but option for special occasion choirs. Right of refusal for occasional services. Kantor determines fee for these occasions. May arrange for additional musicians for special occasions. Arranges substitutes musicians when not available or on vacation (4 weeks per year). Maintains music library and coordinates organ maintenance. Prepares an annual music budget. DIRECTOR OF MUSIC/CHOIR DIRECTOR, Rocky River, UMC, Rocky River, OH. Part Time position. Rehearse and conduct adult Chancel Choir. Guide the music program by coordinating with other music staff directors and staff organist. The Music program at RRUMC is comprised of an adult voice choir, two bell choirs, a contemporary worship team, and Organist/choral accompanist. 3 services each Sunday (chapel, traditional, contemporary). 13 music staff members, and over 30 music volunteers. INTERIM ORGANIST/PIANIST St. Anselm Anglican seeks an interim organist/pianist for all or most 11:15am Sunday services Sept. 1 through Dec. 8. Pay is $200 per Sunday, with no midweek rehearsals or services, no choir, and no admin duties. The church meets at Gethsemane Lutheran in Lakewood (Wicks organ). The interim must be comfortable accompanying hymns and liturgy on both organ and piano. The music is mostly traditional.
